Gallery Update
Galleries have been updated with another large update. I
want to thanks those that keep sending me images for the
galleries. They wouldn't be possible without your hard
work capturing those images. Check out the
Image History
page for the additions or
All Galleries web page for a complete list of galleries.
Me News
Nothing new really. Work is good, home life is good and
friends are all doing well.

Website Update
This is more of a product update, but I am changing my mail over
to a service called Vanquish. Basically, it blocks
everything and then sorts out based on your whitelist, a
challenge/response system and a variety of other very cool
features. So far, I have been very impressed with the
performance and usability. Also, I haven't found any real
problems with the service. I can't recommend the product
completely as I have only been using it for a few days now, but
normally I see upwards of 2000 emails a day of which maybe 20
are valid. SpamAssassin, Mail Filters, etc used to pair
that down quite a bit but now I don't need to run any of those
(at least I hope... time will tell). They do offer a free
15-day trial and I will report back in a couple weeks to share
my on going experience, but I can't see why this won't be a
great solution to my spam woes.
The good news with
this service is I still use all my same old mail addresses so I
don't have to worry about an interruption in mail. Check
out the
review at PCMag.com or head straight to the
Vanquish website.

Gallery Update
I
updated the gallery a couple days ago, but just got around to
updating all the news and stuff. Check out the

Me News
For those of you who are wondering what is up with me, well lots
actually. The big news is that I am moving in with a
woman... yep... I have lost my mind. Actually, I may have
finally found it. I guess time will tell. Other news
is I went on a great overnight backpacking trip. I have
done lots of camping (car style) and I when I was younger did a
few overnights, but now that I am older and appreciate nature a
bit more I can't believe how relaxing it is. Oh and I
managed to stand up close and personal with a timber rattler
that was passing near camp (very near). Great fun.

Gallery Update
Been another
really long time, but I posted a rather large update for
everyone. It will take a while to post so you may want to
wait a few hours for it to finish as I won't be able to update
the Image History until it is done. Check out the
Image History
page for the additions or
All Galleries web page for a complete list of galleries.
Me News
Wow what a crazy few months I have been having. Couple death
marches at work to get some stuff done, lots of contracting work
which is a good/bad thing and managing to sneak out on weekends
for some outdoor fun. As always, I hope to be spending
some time working on my website in the near future, but with
summer approaching I will likely be spending what little time I
have outdoors backpacking, camping and kayaking. Lets hope
for some updates, but don't count on them as usual.
Update Movie Pick
This update
I will get back to picking obscure (relatively) movies that are
just plan good if not flat out great. With that said, this
pick is a fantastic action-horror-thriller that has a lot of
great twists. Brotherhood of the Wolf is one of those
movies that is well paced and a real edge of your chair kind of
movie. A nice addition is this is a true story from long
ago and puts their own "how it happened" story behind it.
The creature that actually did kill over 100 people in a couple
of years
in France around 1766 and was known as the Beast of Gevaudan.
This movie is clearly fiction, but still a great take on an
exciting true story. I don't want to give too much away so
I will leave you with a movie pick that I think is one of the
best in its genre.

Me
News
Still learning the C# programming language, dating, vacation (my
first in years), some hiking, being sick, busted foot (which I
still have) and working my butt off has kept me from posting any
new stuff to my website. I do hope that I will have time
soon to create a new Hiking section and post a bunch of reviews
including one of my great new poker table from
Pick's Poker Tables.
Update Movie Pick
I would be
surprised if you haven't heard about this documentary yet, but
it is Grizzly Man. This is an incredible documentary about
a man that spends 13 years with grizzlies filming them in the
wild up close (way too close). The interesting part is
that it is a documentary from another film maker using the
footage shot by "The Grizzly Man". I don't want to spoil
the documentary by giving it all away, but lets just say the guy
with grizzlies is crazy and it comes back to bite him quite
literally. One of my favorite documentaries.
